Woo! I’m now a character in Escalade Incompetency!
That really is my honest, terrible handwriting. I’ll transcribe it for you all in case you have no idea what it says:
Panel 1: Hey everyone! Mike here: creator & author of Escalade Incompetency
Panel 2: I wanted to show you my terrible handwriting. Just look at it! (how awful!)
Panel 3: Plus I get to use this cool computerized drawing pad I got!
Panel 4: My friends said buying it was a waste, but now look!
Seriously?!?
Panel 5: Damn! ::sigh:: I guess I’ll return it. Where’s my receipt?
That’s not Gold, Frank! Those are Lucky Charms!
The interesting thing about this is that after you do a bunch of comics and write one nearly every day, you start to be able to think like the characters. So putting yourself as a character is sort of like making your sane, regular personality interact with these characters you’ve created. I’ll be honest, it feels a bit schizophrenic. But hey, I get to talk to Frank Tackles, so EAT IT, AMERICA!
