Oh, that Mr. Tackles! When will he learn?

I had lots of fun messing with more royalty-free clipart for this strip. Lately, I’ve been spicing up the ol’ EI visually. Good times.

A Fire Hydrant…on a coffee table?!?!? ONLY IN ESCALADE INCOMPETENCY!!

Mr. Frank Tackles is going to take a journal with him on his vacation so that he can document his erotic adventures at the town pool.

It will be much like Bukowski’s Post Office, only without the literary significance.

But it’ll still be required reading for Escalade Incompetency fans, so BE READY!!

And professionalism is number one on Mr. Tackles’s To-Do List. It even comes before “racing RC Cars while naked in the lobby”!

I’m always in a dilemma when it comes to possesives with names ending in an “s.” I always would have said “Mr. Tackles’ To-Do List” up until early 2006 when an English Professor told me that if it’s a proper name, you still add the extra “s,” despite it looking weird. So you’d say “my parents’ house” but “Ross’s car.”

It’s probably all up to who you ask. Language is constantly evolving, and that goes for written language too. Give it another hundred years and I bet the extra “s” on possessive proper names will be as antiquated as saying “My house is painting.”

AM I RIGHT, FOLKS?!??!?!

I do believe that I now must make a demo for this band, Mr. T-Bone and the Andomatics.” Yes…yes, I must.

So, everyone, big EI changes: lately I have been skipping days here and there during the week, and keeping this comic updated at an irregular pace. So therefore, to help me out, since I’m not a great comic creator in the vein of those I admire, Escalade Incompetency will now have new comics on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

I may return to the ol’ Monday through Friday format sometime soon. But for a little while at least, new comics will be posted on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Keep it real, my brothers and sisters. KEEP IT REAL!!!!!

Isn’t it just touching how touchingly this particular comic touches your life?

After I made it, I thought I was trapped inside the computer. Then I realized I just made the COMIC REPRESENTATION OF MYSELF!!!

So, I’m not a big fan of Grease. And now it looks like a wrote a comic about it.

WOOPS!

Does this mean there will soon be a trend of me writing comics about things I don’t like?

Well, let’s just say few may enjoy tomorrow’s comic about leaving cheese cubes in a half-full mayonnaise jar near a radiator.

DOUBLE WOOPS!

Pirates were known for calling those dressed inappropriately “Flabberass.” If you don’t believe me…well…

well…you shouldn’t believe me.

So, this comic stems from a bit of real life: tomorrow I will be attending a Pirate Party! Unlike Andy, I have been planning my outfit all week. I just need to put some finishing touches on some things, and help my super-cool lady Katie make the sheaths for her daggers which she will be keeping wrapped around her biceps (awesome!).

I can’t take credit for the Pirate Party though, Katie’s parents are actually throwing it!

So if you think I’m lucky to be dating someone whose parents invite 80 people into their backyard to dress like pirates, eat great food, drink rum, and take pictures by the shipwreck scene they built…well…you’re absolutely right. I’m a lucky swashbuckler.

Sometimes I feel it’s time this comic as a whole wound up in the discard pile…

But THEN I remember that without this comic, millions, if not BILLIONS, of people worldwide would become so sad from its absence that their hearts would explode into a black hole of pure sadness.

So it’s my duty to keep making these things for the fate of the world!
